From the minute I called Balance Studios and set up my first private lesson with Yoga Master Phil Migliarese, I felt a calm and balance I hadn't felt from a workout before. There was something about Balance itself that just made me feel like I was visiting an oasis, and I used the environment there to begin to challenge myself from yoga basics to more advanced postures. The flexibility I soon had, the breathing techniques I learned, and the strength I gained helped me in every aspect of my life. As a television news anchor, I would sneak off to the Green Room occasionally and bend, breathe and let the busy day waiting for me outside the room disappear, if only for a minute or two. I also find the breathing useful before stressful speeches, appearances, or anything in my life that requires me to get myself calm and balanced, in order to excel at the activity I'm doing.
I look forward to many years more of yoga-based training and the happiness and benefits it brings to my life. Phil is a talented teacher and professional. He made my classes fun, but also very challenging.
